What we do
We provide advice and technical expertise on the organisation, care and design of school buildings in all sectors of Early Years, Primary and Secondary education. This work includes:
- Full architectural services from assistance in the preparation of your brief, detailed room layouts, building design and submission for town planning consent through to completion of the works
- Space audits and curriculum analysis relating accommodation requirements to the delivery of the curriculum and to establish objectives for development
- Development plans incorporating site analysis, condition surveys and building proposals, to describe your objectives and manage change
- Capital bid preparation and lottery applications, including strategy planning and discussions with the Department for Education and Skills and other authorities to ensure compliance with educational building standards, funding criteria and cost limits
- Maintenance plans plans to assess, programme and cost a maintenance routine over a fixed planning period to suit your premises, priorities and spend patterns
- Project management advising on and leading the process from initial appointment, co-ordination of consultants' work and preparation of contract documents to completion of the project.
- PFI/PPP schemes where we can provide technical advice and consultancy as External Advisors to LEA's/schools (Option Appraisals, feasibility studies, Output Specifications, Bid appraisals, etc.) and to bidding consortia (pre-qualification expertise, ITN stage design studies, architectural or multi-discipline building design services, etc.
- Consultancy services to Government and schools for education premises research, project planning and management, premises advice.
