We were appointed in February 2005 to provide architectural support in respect of the preparation of the Strategic and Outline Business Case for Haringey Council’s, Building Schools for the Future. The project will be delivered in two phases; the first six secondary schools located in the east of the borough [Wave 2] and the remaining four in the west [Wave 4].
On each site we carried out a full site and curriculum analysis in order to develop an accommodation schedule that embodied the particular educational vision of the school. We then prepared three alternative outline designs that could deliver the particular brief. The preferred option became the reference project for each site for inclusion in the OBC submission.
In the light of the knowledge we have obtained of these ten secondary schools we have been retained as Client Design Advisor by Haringey Council, to refine the Strategic Brief for each school site and then monitor the progress of each appointed architect to ensure that each scheme delivers a transformational learning environment over the coming years
